This week saw the last few students go through their screenings and biomechanical analysis. Most of the players have just started a new phase of strength and conditioning training, and everybody has improved since autumn’s tests. As usual Friday tend to fly by at SSoG and today was no different. Most of us had time for; golf training, cookery, meeting with Sofia, S&C session, and a meeting with Martin (VW golf arenas' VD).
At the meeting today Sofia informed the students about a number of exciting things that are going to happen in the future, including news about World University Golf Championships in the Czech Republic.
S&C training today including (for those that wanted to) the SSoG unofficial fitness test, it’s a tough combination of training that takes between 20-40 minutes to complete, everybody put 110% effort in to this (see the pictures below to get an idea) though a special mention should go to Philip and Markus.
Well done everybody :-)

It’s not hard to enjoy your job as a coach, and at SSoG it’s particularly enjoyable where you get the opportunity to work with such motivated people and at fabulous facilities. Friday was one such day, the day started picking up a group of students at 08:30 and then heading out to VW Golf Arena. For the student the schema looked alike this:
1. Golf training
2. Cookery session
3. Strength and conditioning session
4. Second golf pass, for those that still had energy
A day at the arena yesterday really felt like an elite trainings environment, and the effort put in by everyone was great. It is such days when you finish the day with more energy than you started.
James.
P.s hopefully Johan Thunman finished the day with a little less energy after he followed Anders, Emil, Markus and Phillip in a nice easy gym session!
